The Dog Who Came From So Far Away is a vagabond show for parents and children, based on the life and music of Moondog, Louis Thomas Hardin, the eccentric and visionary Viking who played on the streets of New York and was admired by Igor Stravinsky and Frank Zappa.
Moondog's extensive poetic oeuvre, as well as the recordings of his spoken word performances, allow him to work with words in a non-traditional way, giving meaning the freedom to become sensation and sensation the freedom to construct meaning.
