5th October 2019 (premiere), Teatro O Bando, Palmela, Portugal
"Toca" is a hiding place in which the audience is invited into pregnancy, in a dramaturgical exploration that undresses the woman-actress from herself, descending to her inner self, to the core of the gravity of her body in thought (pregnancy derives from the Latin 'gravis', which means weight and also gives rise to the words 'grave' and 'gravity').
An installation show that seeks a new centre of balance, experimenting with externalising the interior of the body and voice, delving into the intimacy that, deep down, God wanted to always be visible - otherwise mothers' bellies wouldn't grow outwards, for everyone's eyes, but inwards.
A show, yes, of gravity and grace, like a funambulist who balances between the weight of her body and the lightness of her dreams.
